More Justin Layouts

It is sketch month over at Scrap Friendzy.  Here are some more layouts I have done this week for Justin using the challenge sketches.

Here is one of Justin playing basketball for the Carroll Hills Cougars.

This is of Justin with his grandmothers.
Justin was a big Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.

Inspiring photo

Justin is the son of dear friends of ours.  He went to be with our Lord this summer at the age of ten.  For the past 5 years he battled with a form of epilepsy that did not respond to treatment.  Despite the challenges he faced, Justin loved life.  This photo, to me, captures his spirit and enthusiasm for life and inspired me to hold Memories of Justin.  Clicking on the photo will enlarge it if you would like to see some of the details more closely.

I have entered this layout in the "Color Me Happy" challenge over at  ScrapFIT.  The challenge was to use lime green, purple, orange, and black using cardstock for one of the colors.

The title outline was cut from black cardstock and the inside from purple patterned paper that I added Stickles to.

I made the flower from dark purple and black dyed burlap that I stiffened with Mod Podge, then cut and again added a bit of Stickles to the edges and a rhinestone center.   The rhinestone swirls are a larger Zva swirl I cut apart.

The letters for Justin's name are made from cardstock, Perfect Pearls, ultra thick embossing enamel (UTEE) and stickles.

Memories of Justin - Layouts from the crop

Here are some more layouts I created at the crop.

First, I have to share one that sweet little Emma made.

This next layout is of Justin with Hanna.  Grandpa told them to "make a funny face" right before snapping this great photo.

Justin's favorite time of the year was fall, and one of his most enjoyable activities, carving pumpkins.  This page goes with the Carving Out Memories layout I posted previously.  Inside the small pumpkins are punches from a photo of the lit up pumpkins taken after dark.

Here is a 2-page layout of one of Justin's favorite activities - fishing.  I used jute and eyelets to connect the photos and pulled the fishnet out of my stash.

Here is another page of Justin with his siblings enjoying some beautiful fall days in the leaves!

And last but not least, here is one of him with Holly's family taken at Easter this spring.

Here is a close up of the flowers.  I took plain white flowers and added chalk and Perfect Pearls to get the colors I wanted to go with the paper used.
